The Releasing Affirmation

 

   - First fill out the Releasing Affirmation below (what do you want to release and what are the feelings related to         that issue?).

 

   - Before reciting the Releasing Affirmation, determine what number comes up on a distress/discomfort scale of 0       to 10 with 0 not bothering you at all and 10 being the worst it could possibly feel. What number comes up when       you think of this issue?

 

   - Then start repeating the whole Releasing Affirmation below from start to finish while doing some form of                   bilateral tapping/stimulation.

 

    Even though I feel ______________________________________________________________                              

                                       (the negative feelings associated with the issue you are working on)

    when I think about ______________________________________________________________

                                                          (the issue  – and where it came from, if you know)

    ____________________________________________________________________________

 

    ____________________________________________________________________________

 

I still love, accept, and forgive myself, wholly and completely

 

And God loves, accepts, and forgives me, wholly, completely, and unconditionally

 

   (For the word “God” here, INSERT WHAT FEELS RIGHT TO YOU such as Spirit/ the Infinite Source/ My higher        Self, etc.)

- After completing this affirmation, put your hands down and take a deep breath – what number comes up?

 

- Keep repeating this process until  a “0” comes up in your mind when you think of this issue.

 

- When you get the issue down to “0” then you can begin the Replacement process.

 

 

Replacement statement

 

   - First fill the positive statement below  (what do you want to believe/feel after releasing the negative – that you         that you want to be in relation to this issue you’re working on - think of as many positive things as possible here       – use another piece of paper if necessary).

 

   - After writing all the positives you can think of for this Replacement Statement, read the whole positive                     replacement statement through first and determine what number comes up on a scale of 0 to 10 with 10 being         the most true. What number comes up when you think of this

     positive statement (not the number you want it to be but the number that you believe about yourself right now?

 

    - Then start repeating the whole Replacement Statement from start to finish while doing some form of bilateral           tapping/stimulation.

 

Positive statement (write down several strong positive affirmations that feel good to you).____________________

                             (the positive replacement that is opposite of that which you just released)

- When you get the issue up to “10” then you have completed the entire process for this issue.
